Have you ever been taking a shower when the water slowly begins to creep up your feet onto your ankles until, finally, you are standing in water? I know I have. Yep…been there, done that. And, unfortunately, I (Shelley) am often to blame. Actually, the culprit clogging up our drain is often my long hair. Some of you know exactly what I’m talking about all too well!
And when this happens to me, the shower is usually not completely clogged. Therefore, when I’m done with my shower, the water will slowly drain out. It’s still functional, but I have to admit it is pretty annoying. Not to mention the fact that it ends up leaving a soapy residue on our tub.
I usually get to my “breaking point” where I’ve finally had it. It gets annoying enough to finally do something about it. To take action.
Have you ever had something get to that point in your life? It could be a home improvement project or something deeper, like unresolved emotions of grief or unforgiveness. Whatever it is, you may also reach your “breaking point,” so to speak, where you are finally willing to take action and do something about it. It’s finally impacting your life enough to deal with it.
Well, when I get to that breaking point with our clogged tub, I usually try the same thing every time. Can you guess what it is?
You guessed it….Drano!
And it feels like a miracle. A couple treatments of Drano and our shower is usually draining normally again. The clog has been removed and the water flows freely through the pipes again. What a great feeling.
